Mr. Wolff practices in the areas of business law, commercial transactions, and commercial litigation. Mr. Wolff also has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of space, cyber and telecommunications law and management-side employment matters.
Education
Mr. Wolff graduated in the top 10% of his class at the United States Military Academy in 2003 with a degree in American Politics. After graduating from West Point, Mr. Wolff served with distinction as an Infantry Officer in the 101st Airborne Division, leading hundreds of combat patrols and earning a Bronze Star.
Mr. Wolff obtained his law degree from William and Mary Law School in 2010, where he was president of the Military and Veteran Law Society and an inaugural member of the Lewis B. Puller Veterans Benefits Clinic. Mr. Wolff also holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Nebraska in space, cyber, and telecommunications law.
Experience
Mr. Wolff provides 14 years of broad, diverse legal experience, including in the areas of international and commercial agreements, space law, fiscal law and finance, employment law, ethics, and compliance. Mr. Wolff has led internal investigations, and he is an accomplished litigator, having served as lead counsel on dozens of contested bench and jury trials, including cases involving complex digital and medical evidence. He has overseen resolution of scores of employment law matters, including employee conduct investigations and discrimination claims. Mr. Wolff has advised senior officers on the scope and limits of Congressional testimony.
Mr. Wolff has had a distinguished military legal career, having been promoted to roles of increasing responsibility throughout his tenure. He most recently served as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for the U.S. Space Command in Colorado Springs, reporting to a 4-Star General Combatant Commander, a direct report to the Secretary of Defense. The unit is responsible for all global U.S. military space operations. As Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, Mr. Wolff provided critical counsel on significant and sensitive matters.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Wolff gained experience as a Brigade Judge Advocate for the 173d Airborne Infantry Brigade in Vicenza, Italy, serving as lead counsel for a 3800-person organization. He also served as senior trial counsel and supervising prosecutor for I Corps in Tacoma, Washington.
Mr. Wolff has been a professor of internal investigations and command authority at the Judge Advocate General’s School in Charlottesville, Virginia, having taught over 1300 students ranging from new attorneys to senior executives. He has authored legal reviews on employing novel military space capabilities.
