On Thursday, April 16, 2020, the Colorado Court of Appeals issued its published decision in Dill v. Rembrandt Group, Inc. and Pikes Peak Acquisitions, LLC, Colorado Court of Appeals, 2020COA69 (April 16, 2020), holding that the trial court improperly pierced the corporate veil of a Colorado Springs limited liability company. The Court of Appeals reversed the trial court’s decision finding that the limited liability company and its owners were alter egos of one another, and awarded the firm’s client its attorneys’ fees and costs. Murray Weiner of Mulliken Law handled both the trial and appeal.
