Trevor Young has more than 18 years of experience assisting clients primarily in commercial litigation, construction law, financing and lending, foreclosures, and real estate litigation. He represents a wide range of clients, including commercial real estate developers, financial institutions and private lenders, general contractors, home builders, subcontractors, and small businesses.
Mr. Young has appeared as counsel in the state courts of Colorado, the U.S. District Court, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and in appeals before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court. Mr. Young is an experienced litigator who guides his clients through the various stages of litigation and excels in the courtroom. He has successfully tried numerous jury trials, trials to the court, and arbitrations.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Young assists owners, general contractors, and subcontractors in negotiating and drafting contracts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Young was a Deputy District Attorney in El Paso County, Colorado. He successfully handled and tried numerous felony and misdemeanor cases such as assaults, attempted murders, DUIs, domestic violence, and drug offenses.
A native of Pueblo, Colorado, Mr. Young received his law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2005. He graduated from the University of Denver in 2002 with a degree in Finance and Marketing, where he was a member of the Division I Men’s Tennis Team. He is a proud supporter of the Buffaloes and Pioneers.
Mr. Young was named one of Colorado’s Rising Stars in Business Litigation each year from 2016 to 2020. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Community Partnership for Child Development (Head Start). Mr. Young is a member of the Construction Lawyers Society of America, a limited membership of top construction lawyers.
Mr. Young is a member of the American Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the El Paso County Bar Association.
